Keeping it in the family

Let me explain a little about my name - McLean Howard Hudson.  It’s a family name and spelled McLean.  It’s pronounced ‘Mack’ ‘Lane’ -- as in Stephenson (formerly of MAS*H) or Shirley (sister of Warren Beatty and acclaimed Oscar-winning clairvoyant actress).

I am named after my Great Grandmother, Jessie McLean on my Grandma Hudson/Duncan’s side.  In fact, there was a McLean born on the very same day I was over 140 years ago! My middle name Howard was derived from my Great Grandfather on my Grandma Jordan/Heilberger side. Hudson comes from my Dad and my Grandad’s family.

I am sorry I don’t have the chance to meet my first two namesakes.  I hear they were really special and would have loved them very much.   I am honored to keep their names alive in a new generation and look forward to hearing many stories about them through my grandparents and parents.  I am also really looking forward to an all-Hudson boy retreat one day with my Granddad, Dad, Uncle Duncan and cousin Sam when I am a bit bigger
